York Boys Track Wins Maine States!

I never thought I would see this day myself.

I went to states to help out with splits (and of course the tents, I'm known as the "tent general"), but I didn't think that we'd end up getting an escort by every fire truck in the local fire department.

Despite the day being cloudy in Freeport, ME, it was still a great event. The girls won 4th place, and we had three people who won individual events (one girl, two boys). We even had one of our students break the school record in racewalk. I will not put their names on here, as I don't want my silly website to be the third thing that comes up when you look their names up.

There were practically medals everywhere for all of our team; however, the bizarre part was that after 3rd place, the medals went back to gold. I guess that is why one of our old coaches said, "Gold never gets old".

Congratulations to all of the York boys' track kids who actually competed in states. It was truly cool to see all of you at that event. Thank you all for the absolutely best season we could have had.
